EA Forum posts
Favorite posts: adding a plant-based option (or two) doesn’t change behavior, meaningfully reducing meat consumption is an unsolved problem, sexual violence prevention programs change ideas, not behaviors, and my circuitous, undirected path to an EA job (full list on my EA Forum profile).
Content marketing, documentation, & market research
Animal welfare and food systems
- Regression to the Meat is my newsletter about research to reduce meat consumption. My personal favorites: Scaled up, I expect defaults to reduce meat consumption by ~1-2 pp, Burdens of proof for dynamic norms interventions, and Eating vegetarian is not like voting.
Everything else
- For Glo Foundation, I published thought leadership, product explanations, quarterly updates, information for job applicants, general purpose marketing, social media threads and stand alone posts, and content for external forums. I also recorded some podcasts.
- For Code Ocean, I co-authored the white paper, wrote for the company blog, guest wrote for a partner’s blog, occasionally social media content, and about half of Code Ocean’s help pages. I also presented Code Ocean at conferences, e.g. JupyterDay in the Triangle at UNC in 2018. (One person said I was good!)
- I’ve contributed to the Ethereum Foundation’s developer docs: 6619, 6651, 7759, 10741, 10756, 12390, and 12938.
Software
- An R package on the Paluck Lab’s approach to meta-analysis.
